August 11
I'll be participating in this summer's "Beautiful, Delicious, Nutritious:" Chefs' Summer Demos and Tastings" at the Maryland Science Center.
The focus is on local foods that are healthy and nutritious and is intended to be a complement to their exhibit, "Diabetes, A Closer Look."
This important exhibition seeks to educate the public, offering a basic understanding of what diabetes is, the risk factors, the impact it has on our daily lives and the way diabetes effects our body directly. It's all explained in a unique, visual, hands-on way and I really can't recommend it enough.
On the 11th of August, at 2pm, I'll be demonstraing a fresh, and healthier, new way to prepare our old favorite Maryland Crab Soup. I'll have recipes and samples for everyone who stops by.
For information and tickets, visit www.marylandsciencecenter.org or call the 24-Hour Information Line at 410-685-5225.
Hope to see you there!
