The Perfect Mojito
10–15 fresh mint leaves
Juice of one large lime
2 teaspoons sugar
1.5 ounces of rum
Makes one drink.
Place sugar and fresh squeezed lime juice in a chilled glass and
stir. Add the mint to the lime sugar mixture and muddle it to bring
out the oils and flavor – be careful not to tear the mint
leaves. Add rum, stir, and fill with ice. Top with soda water. Serve
in a tall highball glass. Garnish with mint leaves or a lime wedge
or with the classic sugar cane stick.
